First World War Trench Art - Brass Shell Case with Devonshire Regiment Badge & Rifles

A First World War example of Trench Art Work in the form of a brass box made from the casing of a shell, the seperate lid having the Devonshire Regiment Badge affixed with cross rifles and the (rubbed) lettering  "JUN" thereon, the base inscribed with the date "April 1915" and letters/words/numbers etc  "St" "8 W.M.F. GEISLINGEN" AND "HL22" with an internally crossed circle below.

Approx Size: Ht. 3.5 ins x 3.5 ins diameter (9cms x 9 cms)
