Antique Oak & metal bound Silver/Treasure Chest

An Antique solid Oak & Metal Banded Silver/Treasure Chest  dating from the 18th/early 19th Century,  having original lock, a concealed side drawer to one end (secured /"locked" from the inside of the main Chest), painted interior and with substantial iron carrying handles to either side.  Would make an unusual & eyecatching occassional centre/coffee table with glass top addition) or simply a very useful piece of storage furniture with lots of character and history....
Excellent (original) colour  & patination throughout.
