A superb 19th Century mahogany extending Dining Table

A superb 19th Century mahogany 6 - 12+ seat capacity extending Dining Table, capable of  extending from 3 ft 8 ins when closed and without leaf insertions  to almost 12 feet in length,  the top having  five extra leaf insertions of various lengths all with matching cross-banded edge decoration and  united by brass "H" clip supports to the undersideswhen inserted, a pull-out, concertina-action support base/frame, the whole being supported by stylish twin leg supports as shown, united by a centre stretcher and  terminating in brass cups and castors.

Good (restored/re-polished) condition with good patination throughout.

Approx Size :-  Ht 27.5 ins x  W. 43ins x  L. 44 ins  when closed & extending to a max of 138.5 ins (11ft 6 ins) when  all five extra leaf insets (of varying lengths)  are fitted together. (H.70cms x W. 110cms x L. 112cms (min' open) extending to a max of 352cms (3mtr 52).
