19th Century Pratt's Pot Lid - "On Guard"

19th Century Pratt's Pot Lid entitled "On Guard". This lid was produced by the Pratt Factory in or around 1860 and shows a nightwatchman asleep. Two versions are known to exist one being with a bucket under the bench and the other (as here) a sleeping dog. It has a duouble line border.
