19th century Pratts Factory Pot Lid entitled "Bear Lion & Cock"

A relatively rare 19th Century Pratts Pot Lid produced by the Pratts factory reputedly in recognition and relation to the Crimean War, the Bear representing Russia, the Lion, Britain and the Cockeral, France.

Several versionswere produced, later ones having an extra border and the Church spire omitted. This early example has no title, a line and dot border and tiled floor as shown. It is mounted in an ebonised circular frame.

Condition is generally good although with minor surface scratches and some discolourisation as shown.
