19th century, gothic style, Oak Metamorphic Church/Chapel Chair

A stylish, late 19th Century oak framed metamorphic, gothic style, Church or Chapel/Prayer Chair, the folding upholstered and padded seat lifting to reveal a brass plaque engraved "R 12"  with an upholstered kneeler rail beneath and shaped padded top rail each re-upholstered in a pink dralon fabric, the frame having a brass hook to one side and united by a shaped and carved stretcher to the base with a similar, matching central back rail, the whole in excellent (restored) condition with good colour and patina throughout.
