19th Century Mahogany Framed & Cane Childs Rocking Cradle/Crib

A delightful and increasingly rare, quality 19th Century Mahogany Framed Childs Rocking Cradle/Crib,  the removable cradle/crib having cane weave sides and ends with matching  shaped canopy top (or hood) with a slatted interior base, supported by original iron work  looped catches to either end ,the whole  on a sturdy mahogany turned and shaped frame with twin stretchers below, with block and turned end supports,original brass locking key (to prevent the cradle rocking if reqired) and the remains of an interesting partial and worn  travel label referring to rail travel/luggage affixed to one side of the supports, the whole having good colour and paination throughout. Some minor restoration to the basket/cane weave work.  Ideal for the Nursery!
