17th/early 18th Century Oak Mule Chest

17th/early 18th Century Oak Mule Chest of substantial size (& weight!), having plank top with moulded edge, above a well carved, pannelled  front with the initials "MD" carved therein above a metal lock plate ( with key) showing a date of  "1682", a long but shallow drawer is found to the base.  Excellent colour and patination.
