19th Century Valor Co Ltd patented "Rose White" Oil Cabinet

An unusual, rare  and highly decorative  patented 19th Century Metal Oil Cabinet, for the Valor Co Ltd,  one half of  the dome shaped lid is hinged and lifts to reveal a brass tap dispenser (operated by means of pump action), with a seperate compartment for a measuring stick (in situ) ,  a further perforated hinged section/lid (for filling purposes) and seperate metal funnel . The original brass "patent" plate reads "Pfectine" and states that this is a "Patented Metal Oil Cabinet for the Valor Co Ltd" and "No.d 3421/98". The exterior of the Cabinet displays the  original (now worn) paintwork and lettering to the  front reading "White Rose Oil". It has the original fixed and hinged  metal catch for a lock and carrying handles to either side. It is likely to have been originally used for lamp oil and would be found in hardware stores of the period. The whole has great colour and patina throughout and in short,  is a great Decorators/Interior designers "treasure", rarely found and an unusual conversation piece per se.
