About Bumpstead Antiques & Interiors

Established in 1995  Bumpstead Antiques and Interiors deal primarily with fine quality Antique Furniture, Art, Collectables, Lighting, Jewellery and  objets d'vertu from  the 17th century onwards. We cover all aspects of such not only in  relation to initially sourcing and buying fine Antiques etc and  dealing with  their  subsequent sale, but also in  respect of  carrying out sympathetic Restoration, Repair, Re-polishing and Re-upholstery (where  appropriate) before sale  - comprehensive Services  that we also offer to our Clients  and  others wishing to take advantage of the same. We also provide Valuations and Advice  for Individuals, Companys and other institutions requiring such in relation to Antiques.

 We offer a varied and wide ranging (albeit ever changing) stock all personally and individually chosen for their quality  and purpose and condition, rarity,  style, uniqueness and of course investment value. As you will see by browsing through  the selected items shown in our Stock Catalogue this includes fine Oak and Country  furniture such as Refectory & other Tables, Coffers, Chests, Chairs and stools etc as well as the more traditional City and Town  Antique furniture typically in Mahogany, Walnut, Rosewood  and other precious timbers, including extending Dining Tables, Occasional and Wine Tables, Display Cabinets, Bureaus, Bookcases, Desks, Wardrobes etc. and a varied range of stunning, designer-led,  20th Century furniture. 
We also  have a selection of fine quality Antique Showframe Sofas, sets of Dining and individual Chairand other upholstered seating. Having the benefit of professional Upholstery services adjacent to our Steeple Bumpstead showrooms and 1000's of fabrics to choose from we can have these professionally re-upholstered "in-house" to ours and our Clients specific instructions and requirements. 

We also deal in and have displayed throughout  all our retail and trade outlets  situated on the Suffolk, Cambridge and Essex borders (including several leading local Antique Centres) a whole host of associated and ancillary items and Collectables including Long Case, Wall and Mantel Clocks, Glass, Silver Silver Plate, Ceramics, Pewter, Lighting, Bronze figures and original Artwork.

In addition we have a varied and good selection of period CarvingsSamplersWork and other Boxes, Mirrors, Walking Sticks, Treen  and Vintage and Costume Jewellery and  a good and diverse selection of Militaria, Tribal Artifacts, Vintage Toys, Dolls, Garden and Architectural items, as well as decorative and unusual items and gift ideas.                         

"Bumpstead Antiques & Interiors" main retail and trade shop/showrooms are situated in the historic village of Steeple Bumpstead on the borders of Cambridge, Suffolk and Essex where you will find a diverse selection of quality Antique Furniture, Art, Collectables, Lighting and objets d'vertu as stated above.  

In addition we
 also have trade and retail displays showing  a wide variety of stock etc at Finchingfield Antiques Centre, The Green, Finchingfield, Essex,  (some 7 miles from Steeple Bumpstead).,  Long Melford Antiques Centre AND Melford Antiques & Interiors Warehouse both in  Hall Street, Long Melford, Suffolk  (situated some 14 miles from Steeple Bumpstead) and The Antiques Warehouse, Garage Lane, Setchey, Nr Kings  Lynn, Cambridgesire, (next to "Beers of Europe").  All our retail outlets are easily accessible and offer good parking facilities too.

Our customer base consists primarily of  Trade  & Antique orientated Buyers and the discerning private buyer, as well as Interior Designers and Decorators and Corporate Institutions both in the UK and from overseas. We are  "an excellent trade call"  with a number of other Dealers both in the UK and elswhere,  regularly buying from and dealing with us.
